The Rutherford Cancer Centre, South Wales offers state-of-the art radiotherapy, imaging and chemotherapy. Dedicated supportive care is available to all patients. From early 2018, proton beam therapy will also be available at the centre. Our centre uses the latest equipment to plan and deliver the best treatments for our patients, from our CT scanner and planning software to the linear accelerator through which your external beam radiotherapy treatment is given.

The treatment facilities at The Rutherford Cancer Centre South Wales are purpose built to deliver the above treatments and include four consulting rooms, one CT scanner for radiotherapy planning, one linear accelerator for treatment delivery and a chemotherapy treatment suite.
We want you and your family to access our services in comfortable and welcoming surroundings.
We have fully-equipped waiting areas with refreshments provided to make your visit for treatment as relaxing and pleasant as possible.
Free WIFI is available throughout the centre.
We welcome you to be accompanied by family, friends or your carer when you visit for treatment; however, due to the nature of treatments it will not always be possible for your companion to accompany you into the treatment suites. If you are bringing children with you to the centre, please bring along another adult to supervise them during your treatment session as we do not have a crèche on site.
